Mary Kate Stovall-Tapley / Mayor, Business Owner

The Honorable Stovall-Tapley became the first black mayor of Hurtsboro, Alabama, in 1984.  Stovall-Tapley received two masters degrees, one in library science and one in education.  In addition to her job as mayor of Hurtsboro, she is the owner/director of her own business, Stovall Funeral Home.
